Chinese cuisine chef Shu gets suspended term for tax evasion

YOKOHAMA, Japan - The Yokohama District Court on July 3 gave popular Chinese cuisine chef Zhou Fuhui (file photo), known in Japan as Tomiteru Shu, a one-year prison term, suspended for three years, and 10 million yen in fines for evading corporate income taxes totaling some 47 million yen. The court also fined his company, Seikoen, which runs two restaurants of that name in Yokohama, 10 million yen.
