FUKAGAWA, Japan - Diplomats from 45 countries and their families join local primary and junior high school students in a rice harvest festival on Sept. 24 in Hokkaido, Japan's main northern island. The event, hosted by the city of Fukagawa, and a private ecology group, drew around 90 people from these countries, covering Asia, Americas, Europe and Africa.
