US: Protests Erupt at NYC Federal Plaza After ICE Raids on Chinatown’s Canal Street Vendors

Chaos erupted in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon, October 21, after masked ICE agents conducted raids on street vendors in Chinatown’s Canal Street, arresting several people and clashing with bystanders. The arrests sparked a large evening protest outside 26 Federal Plaza, demanding the release of detained migrants and an end to the federal raids.
