Ex-Maltese leader slams NATO as relic from past

VALLETTA, Malta - Former Maltese President and Prime Minister Edward Fenech-Adami speaks in an interview with Kyodo News in Valletta on Nov. 24, 2014, ahead of the 25th anniversary of the 1989 Malta Summit during which then U.S. and Soviet leaders declared an end to the Cold War. Fenech-Adami criticized the North Atlantic Treaty Organization as a relic from the past.
