Deported Iranian family departs Japan

NARITA, Japan - Amine Khalil (R), a 43-year-old Iranian, is seen off by his eldest daughter Maryam, 18, at Narita International Airport, northeast of Tokyo, on April 26, as Khalil, his wife Fharoki Akram, 40, and his second daughter Shahrzad, 10, leave for Iran. The Justice Ministry has decided to deport them for overstaying their visas by over 10 years but has allowed Maryam to stay in Japan so that she can continue her education at a Japanese junior college.
