Recap: American Airlines Flight Catches Fire at Denver Airport

American Airlines flight 1006 caught fire at Denver International Airport on Thursday, March 13, forcing passengers to evacuate. The Boeing 737-800, carrying 178 people from Colorado Springs Airport to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, made an emergency landing at the Colorado airport due to what appeared to be an engine issue. Following the evacuation, 12 passengers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Air Senegal flight HC301, heading for Bamako, Mali, "went off the runway during its takeoff phase" at around 1:00 a.m. local time, the statement said. It said that among the 78 passengers on board, 11 people were injured, four seriously. An investigation is underway to establish the causes of the accident, the statement said. NAGOYA, Japan - A jet engine is removed from a Japan Airlines DC-10 plane for scrutiny June 28. The plane bound for Bangkok returned to Nagoya on June 27 due to engine trouble that caused small pieces of debris to fall on houses and factories in nearby Komaki city in Aichi Prefecture. No injuries were reported among the about 200 people on board Flight 737 or from those on the ground.
