US: Spike Lee Rides Through Brooklyn to Cheers After Knicks Take 2-0 NBA Finals Lead

Film director Spike Lee was given a hero's welcome in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn on Friday, June 5, after the New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs to take a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals. Lee, a well-known Knicks superfan, was filmed waving to cheering crowds from the sunroof of his car as it passed slowly through the neighborhood.

Knicks fans spilled into the streets of New York City on Monday night, May 25, celebrating outside Madison Square Garden after the team clinched its first NBA Finals berth in 27 years.
