Another passenger sitting beside him on the rear seat also died in the accident, while the two passengers sitting on the front seats and wearing seat belts were found alive though grievously injured. Speaking after the launch of the electric bus, Indian Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said, "with focus on reforming urban transport, we are trying to build a low footprint and high passenger density integrated EV mobility ecosystem."
