NAGOYA, Japan - New students attend an entrance ceremony at Kaiyo Academy, a high school modeled on Britain's renowned public school Eton that opened April 8 in Gamagori, Aichi Prefecture. About 120 students were recruited from all over Japan through very competitive selection for the boys-only boarding school offering junior high and senior high school education.

OSAKA, Japan - A Tokaido Shinkansen Line train with a hole in its nose arrives at Shin-Osaka Station on Feb. 9. The hole on Nozomi 5, bound for Hakata, Fukuoka Prefecture, from Tokyo, was made after the train apparently hit a person in Gamagori, Aichi Prefecture.
