Dry moat believed part of ancient castle discovered

KYOTO, Japan - A dry moat, newly discovered in the ruins of Shoryuji Castle in Nagaokakyo, Kyoto Prefecture, western Japan, is opened to the press on July 30, 2014. Feudal Japanese warlord Hosokawa Tadaoki and his wife Tama, known as Garasha in history, spent their newly-married days at the castle, built on the site of what was believed to be Kotari Castle whose location has not been confirmed yet.
