ASDF shows off PAC-3 missile launcher, radar at Gifu base

NAGOYA, Japan - Officers of the Ground Self-Defense Force Tenth Division hold an earthquake disaster drill at the divisional headquarters in the GSDF Moriyama base in Nagoya on July 3 to cope with the aftermaths of a major earthquake that has been anticipated to strike the Chubu region. The drill was intended to test the division's response to a magnitude 8.6 earthquake that occurred at 5 a.m., with 170,000 people becoming quake victims in Aichi, Gifu and Mie prefectures. The division plans to compile an earthquake response action plan by March next year.
