Bangladeshi Nobel peace laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus leaves the labour appellate tribunal after he appears, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 16 April 2024. The labour appellate tribunal has extended the bail period of the top four Grammen Telecom officials, including economist Dr Muhammad Yunus in labour law violation case. A court in Dhaka sentenced Nobel Laureate economist and Grameen Telecom Chairman Dr Muhammad Yunus and three others to six months in prison and fined Tk 30,000 each in a case filed on charges of violating the labour law.
