Toyota makes debut on NYSE

NEW YORK, United States - Hiroshi Okuda (C), chairman of Japan's Toyota Motor Corp., flanked by Tadaaki Jagawa (L), Toyota vice president, and Richard Grasso (R), chairman of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), parades in an open car along Wall Street after Toyota stocks were listed on NYSE on Sept. 29. ''I'm happy that the listing has come true,'' Okuda said in front of the NYSE.

Yoshihiko Miyauchi (C), president of Orix Corp., joins a ''taiko'' drum performance to celebrate his company's listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Wednesday Sept. 16. Orix, the largest leasing firm in Japan, became the country's first company since 1994 to list on the NYSE.
