Hurricane Beryl – At Least 1 Dead After Making Landfall On Caribbean Island

Hurricane Beryl made landfall on Grenada’s Carriacou Island as a Category 4 storm with winds of 150 mph on Monday, July 1, shortly after 11:00 a.m., leaving a trail of devastation across the southeastern Caribbean. At least one was dead in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Airports in Barbados, Grenada, and Saint Lucia were closed on Sunday night as Beryl approached.
