US: Meteor Streaks Across Ohio Sky, Triggering Sonic Boom Felt Across Multiple States

A meteor streaked across the sky over northeastern Ohio on Tuesday, March 17, producing a thunderous sonic boom that was felt as far away as Pennsylvania, with NASA confirming the fireball was caused by a small asteroid nearly 6 feet in diameter and weighing about 7 tons. The asteroid unleashed energy equivalent to 250 tons of TNT when it fragmented, with reports of the fireball pouring in from multiple states.

US: Trash Piles Up in NYC as Collection Falls Behind Due to Snow 3

The Department of Sanitation (DSNY) said on Monday, February 2, that trash collection had fallen behind schedule following the recent snowstorm. While city officials initially hoped to be fully caught up by Wednesday, February 4, trash and recycling pickups were still experiencing slight delays on Thursday, February 5, as crews continued clearing frozen snow and ice while collecting refuse.
