Harold Lloyd Characters: Harold Horne Film: Feet First (1937) Director: Clyde Bruckman, Harold Lloyd 30 October 1930 Harold Lloyd, the renowned film comedian whose career spanned 34 years and included more than 200 films, is shown here in a publicity still for 'Feet First,' the Paramount film released in 1930. A founding member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Lloyd later received an Honorary Oscar in 1952. This is one of many photos reproduced from original 8 x 10 negatives that are part of Lloyd's personal photograph and paper collection recently donated to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Margaret Herrick Library by Suzanne Lloyd, granddaughter of the silent era star and chair of the Harold Lloyd Trust.
