HAEBARU, Japan - The town of Haebaru in Okinawa Prefecture, southwestern Japan, opens a Canadian cultural festival on Feb. 25, initiating a series of festivals in the prefecture that will take place until late May. The festivals will introduce the cultures of Japan's Group of Eight (G-8) partners ahead of July's G-8 summit to be held in Okinawa.
