In Xinjiang, northwestern China, on Monday, January 19, a rare lamb was seen appearing completely different from its woolly counterparts. The animal is a special breed known as a hairless sheep, which naturally grows with smooth skin and no wool.

The male cub lives with his parents in River Wonders, Singapore's river-themed wildlife park. Over the past year, it has grown from a 200-gram hairless infant into an over 33-kilogram furry and energetic bear, said the River Wonders in a press release on Friday. A three-tier ice cake embedded with carrots, bamboo and edible flowers was presented by Le Le's care team at a media briefing held in the park on Friday morning as an early celebration for the cub.
