(220106) -- BEIJING, Jan. 6, 2022 (Xinhua) -- Lu Shengmei (L) performs a free medical treatment to villager Qiao Aifen, who is confined to bed due to paralysis inside her cave dwelling, in Hejiagou Village of Jiaxian County, Yulin City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, Jan. 18, 2021. In the year of 1968, Lu graduated from a medical college in Beijing and chose to work in the remote Jiaxian. She had worked in the county until she got retired in 1999.
