Olympics: Miyake fails in bid for Japan's 1st Beijing medal

BEIJING, China - Japan's Hiromi Miyake drops the weights after failing to match her Japanese clean and jerk record of 110 kilograms with her second and third efforts in the 48-kg class for the women's weightlifting program at the Beijing Olympics on Aug. 9. Miyake finished sixth in the event, which was won by 2007 world champion Chen Xiexia of China.
