Photographer sees Japan from inside of prisons

TOKYO, Japan - Photographer Hitomi Toyama gives an interview with Kyodo News, showing her recently published book of photos of life at prisons across Japan, on April 3, 2013 in Tokyo. The photo book titled "Nippon no Keimusho 30" (30 Japanese prisons) was published in March.

World's biggest photo album in Guinness Book of Records

HANOI, Vietnam - Japanese photographer Hitomi Toyama (C) poses with Vietnamese children in front of the world's largest photo album during a ceremony in Hanoi to mark official recognition of the record by the Guinness Book of Records on April 8. The 26-page album contains 53 photos of Vietnamese women Toyama had taken across Vietnam since 1993. The album, which measures 4 meters by 3 meters and weighs 200 kilograms, will be displayed at a photographic art museum to be built in Hanoi in 2009.
