Korean writer Chong surprises theater world once again

SEOUL, South Korea - Playwright Chong Wishing talks about his recent theatrical piece starring Japanese and South Korean actors at the National Theater of Korea in Seoul on Feb. 2, 2013. Stage actor Takizawa dies at 93

TOKYO, Japan - Acclaimed stage actor Osamu Takizawa died of pneumonia at a Tokyo hospital on June 22, hospital sources said June 23. He was 93. After joining ''Tsukiji Shogekijo'' (Tsukiji Mini Theater) in 1924, Takizawa played many leading roles in modern European plays.
