According to President Horiuchi, the hiring of foreign personnel generally involves "a mismatch between the hiring party and the hired party, and in many cases a lack of dialogue leads to employment failure. In order to prevent a lack of communication, the company has decided to increase the number of Vietnamese interpreters it currently employs and to hire one additional person. The company handles a wide variety of small-lot, difficult-to-cut products, including prototypes. Vietnamese engineers, who are highly skilled, are entrusted with everything from design to machining according to their abilities. The company also provides Vietnamese interpreters with practical training in machining and programming, and says, "We want them to absorb as much technology as possible and acquire work abilities equivalent to or better than Japanese people.
