Hirayama's unfinished work unveiled

KAMAKURA, Japan - Michiko Hirayama (L), wife of the late Japanese painter Ikuo Hirayama, and their daughter Yayoi unveil Hirayama's unfinished work at his atelier in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, on Feb. 11, 2010. Ex-Daiwa Securities head Doi dies at 80

TOKYO, Japan - Sadakane Doi, former president of Daiwa Securities Co. -- now Daiwa Securities Group Inc. -- who led the company to become the second-largest brokerage in Japan, died of pneumonia at a hospital in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, on April 14, the company said April 20. He was 80.
