China: Torrential Rains Turn Streets into Rivers in Huizhou, Guangdong

On August 4, 2025, torrential rains in Huidong County, Huizhou, Guangdong, caused severe street flooding that left residents stranded. Streets turned into fast-moving rivers, submerging vehicles, as fire and rescue teams evacuated people from homes and cars. Authorities raised the emergency flood control response to Level II.
