Heavy rains and intense hail battered Mexico City and surrounding areas on Monday, June 1. In the Cuajimalpa district, hail blanketed the area, streets were flooded, and vehicles were stranded. Authorities escalated weather alerts from Yellow to Red and ultimately to Purple in Cuajimalpa as the storms intensified.
