Pope Francis has died at the age of 88 on Easter Monday, April 21. Bells were rung at Catholic churches to mourn his death across the Philippines.

Mount Kanlaon on Negros Island, central Philippines erupted on Tuesday, April 8 sending an ash plume 4 km high into the sky. The eruption, which lasted over an hour, led to evacuations, school closures and the imposition of a curfew in nearby areas.
