Japan's Kasai finishes first in ski jump qualifying round

PRAGELATO, Italy - Japanese ski jumper Noriaki Kasai finished first in the qualifying round with a solid effort of 126 meters on the K-125 hill in Pragelato on Feb. 17, which gave him a place in the Feb. 18 competition along with fellow qualifiers Daiki Ito and Tsuyoshi Ichinohe as well as Takanobu Okabe who had earlier earned a bye into the final.
