The Shikiri Gate dividing the Hall of Worship and the inner shrine at Bunshoin Mausoleum is seen from the Hall of Worship. The inner shrine was designed in a straight line from this gate all the way up to the pagoda in the deepest part of the mausoleum. This is the tomb of the 7th Shogun Tokugawa Ietsugu in the inner shrine at Yushoin Mausoleum. The Tokugawa tombs are made of various materials. The tomb of the 2nd Shogun Hidetada was made of wood, then bronze was used for that of the 4th Shogun Ietsuna. This was continued up to the 6th Shogun Ienobu, then changed to stone for the 7th Shogun Ietsugu and subsequent generations up to the 14th Shogun Iemochi.==Date:unknown, Place:Tokyo, Photo:F. A famous spot for plum trees, this was also portrayed in Hiroshige's Hundred Scenic Spots of Edo. It is said that the 12th Shogun Ieyoshi and the 14th Shogun Iemochi visited this spot.
