Nagano man sets new record for calculating value of pi

2 Mitsubishi Fuso trucks subject to recall catches fire

MATSUYAMA, Japan - Officials of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corp. investigate the company's heavy-duty truck in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, on June 18 after it caught fire while running on a highway in Iyo in the prefecture. Another Mitsubishi Fuso truck caught fire in a parking area on an expressway in Iida, Nagano Prefecture on June 15.

IIDA, Japan - Keiko Hasegawa, a candidate in the Nagano gubernatorial election, casts her ballot in Iida, Nagano Prefecture, on Sept. 1. The poll was triggered when former Gov. Yasuo Tanaka lost his job in July after the prefectural assembly passed a no-confidence motion against him.
