Snow-related deaths across Japan reach 51

IIYAMA, Japan - Members of a Ground Self-Defense Force unit help remove heavy snowfall in Iiyama, Nagano Prefecture, on Jan. 7. The GSDF Matsumoto garrison sent its disaster relief unit to the city to remove snow in the country's first such mobilization this winter.
