NAGOYA, Japan, - Air Self-Defense Force personnel go on board a C-130 transport plane bound for Utapao air base in Thailand on Jan. 6 to airlift aid materials and personnel to the northern part of Indonesia's tsunami-devastated Sumatra Island. The plane carrying 40 ASDF members, took off from the Komaki base near Nagoya later in the day. The supplies and personnel will be airlifted from Utapao to Indonesia. (Kyodo)
