US: Thousands Rally in Washington, D.C. in Support of Iran War

Thousands gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, March 29, in support of U.S.-Israeli military operations in Iran, a day after millions of Americans took to the streets opposing the Trump administration's policies on the Iran war, immigration, and the cost of living.

UK: London Streets Fill With Celebrations After Death of Ali Khamenei 2

On Saturday night, February 28, as bombs fell across the Middle East and rumors spread about the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, north London’s Finchley Road was filled with Iranian expatriates celebrating in the streets. By Sunday morning, Khamenei’s death in a joint U.S.-Israel strike was confirmed. Hundreds of people in Iran were also reported killed in the ongoing attacks, including at least 148 children who died in a strike on an elementary school in the south. Across Iran, some people celebrated while others mourned. In London, members of the Iranian community also gathered for a rally following the news.

Many people across the U.S. rallied to celebrate the death of Ali Khamenei, with gatherings in cities from Boston to Los Angeles. On Sunday, March 1, in L.A. police closed streets near a federal building for the large crowds. Demonstrators waved flags while a plane flew overhead, trailing a banner that said, 'THANK U TRUMP,' in support of the recent strikes.

Iran: City of Tehran Becomes Deserted as Israeli Attack Continues

After days of Israeli strikes, Iranian streets, particularly in the capital city, Tehran, have become deserted. The Israeli military issued a partial evacuation order early Monday, June 16, for 330,000 residents in central Tehran. By early Tuesday, June 17, the city's downtown began to empty, with many shops and the historic Grand Bazaar closed.
