OITA, Japan - Japan's Satoshi Irifune hits the tape to win his first Beppu-Oita Mainichi Marathon title on Feb. 6. Irifune crossed the finish line at Oita municipal stadium in Oita, southwestern Japan, in 2 hours, 9 minutes, 58 seconds to put himself in good standing for a spot at the world championships this August in Helsinki.
