As winter heating season begins, more and more rural households in north China are adopting a green heating method called air-source heat pump instead of burning coal. When properly installed, an air-source heat pump can deliver up to three times more heat energy to a home than the electrical energy it consumes. Around 100 households in a village in Panjin City, northeast China's Liaoning Province, have installed this kind of heat pump.
