KABUL, Afghanistan - A memorial is held for Kazuya Ito, a 31-year-old Japanese aid worker, at the Japanese Embassy in Kabul on Aug. 29. Ito was kidnapped in Jalalabad, eastern Afghanistan, on Aug. 26 and was confirmed dead after his body was found the following day.
