Reactor container at Joyo plant opened to media

The Japan Atomic Energy Agency opens the inside of the reactor container at its Joyo experimental fast reactor in Oarai, northeast of Tokyo, to the media on Dec. 5, 2016. The government is looking to the Joyo facility to continue development of fast reactors given that the JAEA's Monju prototype fast breeder reactor, which was intended to play a key role in the process, is on the verge of being scrapped.
