Stock prices drop across board in Tokyo

Dealers at the Tokyo Stock Exchange watch prices drop across the board in morning trading Aug. 27. The Nikkei 225 index declined at one point to 14,378.67, its lowest intraday level since July 3, 1995. Bank shares plunged to new depths and a big fall in Nikkei futures prices spurred massive selling.
