In the birthplace of student Jan Palach in Vsetaty, Czech Republic, on August 20, 2019, continue works on the memorial, which will be opened on the last weekend of September. Palach, a student of the Charles University's Faculty of Arts, set himself on fire in Prague on January 16, 1969 in protest against people's growing lethargy following the August 21, 1968 Soviet-led invasion of Czechoslovakia.
