TOKYO, Japan - Three new executives of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party shake hands after a press conference at the LDP's headquarters Sept. 27. Tsutomu Takebe (C) was named as the party's secretary general, Fumio Kyuma (L) was appointed as chairman of the decision-making General Council and Kaoru Yosano (R) was chosen as chairman of the Policy Research Council in the reshuffle of the party leadership by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizmi, who is also head of the LDP.
