Nomura gets contract extension

OSAKA, Japan - Hanshin Tigers manager Katsuya Nomura speaks to the media after getting a contract extension. Nomura said he met club owner Junjiro Kuma at the headquarters of the Hanshin Electric Railway Co. in Osaka and was asked to continue managing the team. Nomura's current contract expires at the end of this season. Details of the new pact were not immediately known.
