Woman, girl found dead at home in Gifu

GIFU, Japan - Police officers search the home of Kazuto Hishida, 43, in Kaizu, Gifu Prefecture, where his 26-year-old wife Kaoru and their 2-year-old daughter Manami were found dead with neck wounds on June 21. Hishida was found dead earlier in the day after jumping from an apartment building in a neighboring city in Aichi Prefecture.

KAIZU, Japan - The world rowing championships held for the first time in Asia opened at the Nagaragawa International Regatta Course in Gifu Prefecture, central Japan, on Aug. 29, one day behind schedule due to Typhoon Mawar. The event runs through Sept. 4.
