South Korea's government said on Thursday the contract between the state-run Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP) and ASE, a subsidiary of Rosatom, a state-owned Russian nuclear energy corporation, requires South Korea to provide turbine-related equipment and construction work for the plant being built in Dabaa. KHNP had been engaged in negotiations with ASE as the preferred bidder for the turbine-related project since last December before the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out in February this year.
