TOKYO, Japan - Employees of a security company are working under LED lamps on the side and sunlight coming through the window instead of the fluorescent lighting on the ceiling in Nihombashi Kabutocho, Tokyo, on July 1, 2011. Many companies in Japan are saving energy as the government started restricting electricity consumption by large-lot users in eastern Japan the same day to avert power shortages in the wake of the March 11 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster.
