Japanese film wins special prize at Montreal film fest

MONTREAL, Canada - Japanese actress Keiko Kishi, appearing on behalf of Japanese film director Kon Ichikawa, receives a special merit prize at the awards ceremony of the Montreal World Film Festival on Sept. 3. Ichikawa, 85, directed the film, ''Kah-Chan'' (Big Mama), which features a poor 18th-century widow and her family.
