OSAKA, Japan - Police officers investigate a crime scene in Neyagawa, Osaka Prefecture, where a 27-year-old part-time employee at a Seven-Eleven convenience store was fatally stabbed in the early hours of Oct. 6 by a shoplifter he chased. Two men believed to be around 18 to 20 years old fled after they were caught shoplifting and the Seven-Eleven employee, Kenji Kamiuchi, caught up with one man, who attacked him with a knife.

TOKYO, Japan - Toshiro Kamiuchi (R), a Hitachi Ltd. engineer, architect Makoto Kikuchi (C), and Tsuneo Ko, a producer at design firm Tanseisha Co., will serve as visiting professors at a new research unit of the University Museum of the University of Tokyo. The donation-funded unit will be launched Oct. 1 in partnership with Tanseisha to provide research into running museums.
