YOKOSUKA, Japan - The U.S. nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Carl Vinson cruises off Kannonzaki in Tokyo Bay on May 10 to head to the U.S. Navy base in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture. Captain Richard Wren said the flattop will work as a deterrent in the region while another U.S. flattop Kitty Hawk is undergoing repairs at the base.
