The ministry's Directorate of Large-Scale Mines Management has announced the tenders for five marble mines in Nangarhar, Kapisa, Bamiyan, Parwan and Herat provinces, a travertine stone mine in Daykundi province, and a granite mine in Maidan Wardak province, according to the ministry's website. The tenders for the said mine projects were announced on April 21 by the ministry, however, as per the instruction of the minister of mines and petroleum the "tender has been renounced for 30 days starting from May 20."
