TOKYO, Japan - Yokozuna Asashoryu (R) proves an impregnable force for sekiwake Wakanosato after already winning the New Year Grand Sumo Tournament to claim the 10th Emperor's Cup of his career Jan. 21. Asashoryu, who was 12-0 after bouts on Jan. 20, secured the title as his closest challengers, 14th-ranked maegashira Kasugao and komusubi Hakuho, both fell to their fourth losses earlier. The 15-day tournament at Ryogoku Kokugikan lasts until Jan. 23.
