OSAKA, Japan - A Panasonic Corp. worker cuts the front and back glass of a cathode-ray tube with a newly developed technology that employs a carbon dioxide laser at a plant in Kato, Hyogo Prefecture, on July 2. Panasonic has developed the technology to recycle TV sets more efficiently, ahead of the start of terrestrial digital broadcasting in 2011.
